Larry Is A Whiny Little Bitch

Well, I have to go get a wisdom tooth pulled in about an hour, my appointment's for 8:00 @ night, but god bless the doctor for getting me in at all- I'm in some serious pain! Impacted- that's the word for it. Little known fact- I got my wisdom teeth IN at age 28. Wierd, huh? Lord knows what the bill will be, but I can't live with the pain any longer. I think the closer the pain is to your brain, the harder it is to take it. I suppose if the pain were in my little toe as opposed to my jaw, I could handle it better. And I become a whiny little bitch from two reasons: allergies and tooth pain- just ask Erin. Anyway, lets get through this post, shall we?
First we have Bush, threatening to veto anti-torture legislation. Let's think about this for a minute folks. Bush has NEVER vetoed any bill that has come before him. And now he and Cheney are literally stonewalling McCain who is trying to pass the anti-torture legislation.

What world am I living in? What the fuck is going on? The president of the United States is condoning torture. This is appalling and frightening to me. The drones who worship Bush defend this by saying, "But those people cut our heads off." People, you don't defeat terrorism and extremism by becoming the enemy. As John McCain said, "The enemy fight has no respect for human life or human rights. They don't deserve our sympathy. But this is not about who they are. It is about who we are."
George Bush is a very dangerous man, and I fear for the future of this country. Who knows, maybe just by writing this I will be privilege enough to get a secret dossier compiled about me for use against me when I become too much of a thorn in the side of this administration. One can only hope.
Okie-dokie. On to book reviews. Anyone read Dick Francis? I love the old boy. Here's the deal, he writes mystery novels but they all have to do with racing horses in some way. The most recent of his that I just finished was Driving Force.

Let me tell you, I couldn't put it down. After reading a couple of Francis's novels you kinda realize they are all somewhat formulatic (is that a word?). A former racing jockey gets caught in the middle of some sinister plot and he begins to play detective to figure out what's going on. Add a little romance, top notch characterizations, plus deep immersion into the horseracing world and you've got a hot little pageturner! I have had this toothache, and consequently, I have been laid up reading a lot, sipping Sierra Nevadas to numb the pain.
I read an Agatha Christie book too, but I have to go to get my tooth out now. Sweet novicane!
Comments:
Novicane? what a puss. Get the coke on the gums and watch the blood spurt, fully conscious and fully aware...

this sounds like the perfect book for pete who is obsessed with horseracing
